Project Approvals Lead – Project Permitting, Government Affairs and Community/Indigenous Engagement support for the Elk Gold Project, near Merritt, British Columbia.
Role: Falkirk Environmental Consultants Ltd. (FEC) was retained by Bayshore Minerals Inc.(Bayshore) for the provision of environmental services in relation to the proposed 70,000 tonne peryear Elk Gold Mining Project, located 45 km southeast of Merritt, in southern British Columbia. The project is required to obtain environmental permits from the B.C. Ministry of Energy, Mines, and Petroleum Resources, and B.C. Ministry of Environment and Climate Change Strategy prior to commencing mining operations on site, in accordance with the BC Mines Act and the Environmental Management Act (EMA). FEC is leading the permitting efforts for this Project on behalf of Bayshore.
Responsibilities include approvals and regulatory process management, government and regulatory engagement, indigenous engagement support, development of a project description, drafting of the information requirements table for scoping the application, writing and collating the joint Mines Act/ Environmental Management Act amendment application documents, quality control, and, working with Palmer TM, overall management of the project budget and schedule.
