Falkirk has been working with the senior management and operations team of Talisker Resources Ltd. (Talisker) since late 2019. The focus of this work has been on the company’s Bralorne Gold Mine in British Columbia’s southern Interior northwest of Pemberton and Talisker’s extensive exploration properties throughout southern BC. Talisker is a Toronto based junior mining company trading publicly on the Toronto Stock Exchange. The Falkirk team has been in several key areas including Indigenous and First Nations engagement with over 30 different First Nations, supporting the environmental management and compliance activities at Bralorne, project permitting at Bralorne and on multiple exploration properties, closure planning and reclamation bonding and strategic advice relating to future mine development scenarios.
A significant success in the Indigenous engagement side of this work was the completion of an Exploration Agreement with the Bridge River Indian Band (Xwísten First Nation) in 2020 and the ongoing support being provided to Talisker on key issues relating to Economic Reconciliation, development, communications and employment. Michael McPhie, Falkirk’s Co-Chair and Founding Partner also serves as Talisker’s Vice President of Sustainability and External Affairs.
