Ashley is a self-identifying Indigenous person whose lineage is from the community of Lil’Wat First Nation.  Her career as an environmental professional includes ten years of working and mentoring in the mining industry, specializing in environmental permitting, monitoring, and Indigenous engagement for junior and major mining companies in British Columbia.  Ashley graduated from Thompson Rivers University with a Co-op designated degree in Geography, and she is a Professional Agrologist (P.Ag) with the BC Institute of Agrology.
